No Pitch Axis

Post by kdrum60 » Fri Dec 01, 2017 11:42 pm

No pitch axis for the F-4E ADV. Works fine with all other aircraft including the T-38A ADV. I just updated to Prepar3D 4.1, did a clean install with the antivirus off and installed all products as administrator. installed all updates too.

Answered my own question. On the first install, I installed in this order, F-4E\TACPAK\F-4E ADV, the opened the MVAMS and let it step through the updates and installation before I tried to fly it. This time after doing a complete uninstall I installed each module, tested it, then downloaded and installed the update before installing the next module, testing each install before moving on. Success! The Phantom lives!

I just want to fly. :(

You need to check if your P3D control input method is RawInput. It needs to be DirectInput.

Okay, does this apply to all Milviz products and controllers? Why do FSX and Prepar3D default to RAW input?

Yes to all products. But it only applies to P3D v3 and 4.

Just to verify, do you know where to change it in P3D v4?

The "Other" menu listed under Controls in P3D options.

I have set the Direct axis, but it is still all over the place on takeoff, there seems to be no input for elevator trim.
getting a bit agitated with it now, can some one please in clear terms give me the info to set this up?
all I want is a stable flight as I get with all my other aircraft.

Elevator trim is assigned in the AMS.

I can see in the MVAMS Controls section Pitch nose up and pitch nose down is this it ? I have inserted key U for Up and D for down
ans saved it , but no change in sim. although I usually use a slider on my throttle joystick for this I can not input that in
th MVAMS.

Odd...What happens if you use a joystick button instead of a keyboard key?

causing problem ?

If you remove the trim axis from your P3D controls, does that get it working again?
