Boeing 732 nosewheel malfunction

Post by onefive » Sat Feb 10, 2018 3:19 pm

Generally upon landing the B732 I encounter the fact that i can't use the nosewheel steering. Lowering landing gears once usually doesn't trigger this but upon the second time it usually displays like this and I can't steer off the runway anymore. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? I tried reinstalling the product already which didn't work.

Did you read the manual?

I went through them and tried to find if there was a key selection to turn it on or off but have'n't found it. nor if there's anything I could have done except being gentle and smooth with it and not use it on push-back or warnings on with what speed to have before lowering them I also couldn't find.

This is something Bill would be able to answer I think.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a solution in the manuals. Does anyone have a tip?

In the many years I've worked with the B737-200 Combi, I've never had an occasion where the nose gear did not fully retract and lock "green..."

That's a real puzzle. I've been extremely busy with another project so haven't really had time to investigate further. I do have a new version currently underway to provide P3Dv4.x support however. That will occur once I've finished up the current work. :ugeek:

Alright, thanks for the heads-up. So this means there is nothing I can do basically to fix this? Not being able to finish the flight properly after landing is a bit disappointing. I might get P3D but I'm stuck on FSX right now. Greeting, Frank
