My F-4J/S Top Speed

Post by JBY3 » Wed Jan 31, 2018 7:07 pm

I have the F-4J/S . The fastest I can go with a clean configuration is around 500-600kts in straight and level flight. That's roughly half of what the plane's capable of.

Do any of you have any suggestions on why that might be???

Thanks.

Depends how high he is. At low altitudes he is only barely going to exceed Mach 1.

are you flying at 100 feet? If so, you've likely reached the max speed.

FL100 = Flight Level 100 = 10,000 ft.

You verified that there is no null zone on your throttle and that sensitivity is set to max?

Yes. I Slewed up to 50000 ft once and headed straight down and was able to get up to around a thousand kph.
