Issue with the Huey and AS 16
I posted this on the AS 16 Support ticket, and thought you might be interested in this issue. I have been trying to find the cause of very high CPU usage with Active SKY 16 in P3D version 3.4 I finally determined after weeks and hours and hours of troubleshooting, that it only happens when I fly the Huey Redux. Below is the post I sent to Hifi Support, who I have been working with on this issue for several weeks.
"Digging into this issue further. What confused me in the past, is at times, I thought I had solved the problem and then it would re-occur, and in addition, I never had this problem with AS 16 prior to a couple of months ago.
The last "cure" that I posted was updating my P3D to the latest client, which seemed to totally solve the problem. I kept monitoring the CPU percentage and as I reported to you June 21, 2017, this seemed to have fixed the issue. I continued to monitor the CPU % using Task Manager, Performance, just to make sure it didn't re-occur. I fly 4 different Helicopters, three by Milviz, and one by Cera SIM, and the copter I was using after I reinstalled the latest update to P3D was the Cera SIm model A 365. Average CPU % was around -.75-0.9 % no matter how long I flew. Then I switched to Another Copter, the Milviz 530F and got about the same CPU % even flying upwards of 2 hours.
Now I loaded up the Milviz Huey Redux, which was the copter I began flying a couple of months ago and was the copter I flew when first noticing this CPU problem. . Now I am flying the Huey, monitoring the CPU %, and low and behold, after about 25 minutes it starts creeping higher and higher. As an example, today, I just flew it for about 25 minutes, and the AS 16 CPU % average was already 6.3%. I kept flying, and the average kept getting higher and higher and soon it was over 10% and rising , with peaks around 18% at times. If I fly one of my other copters, The CPU % goes back down to the normal average of around .9.
If I am flying, and getting the high CPU% with the HUEY, and I land, and change to another copter, without restarting the sim or AS16 , the CPU % drops down to a normal average of less than 1 %. I also noticed that the number of AS 16 CPU threads when I am flying the Huey goes up to around 44-47, and when flying the other copters, it is around 34-36 ( if that is of any help) . ( I am guesstimating the thread numbers, may be off by one or two.
So something with this Milviz Huey Redux is interacting with AS 16, causing this problem with CPU % rising. For now, when flying the Huey, I will just stop and restart AS 16 every half hour, and with my other copters, this is not necessary. I guess I am thinking that if your beta team has a copy of this Huey copter they may be able to reproduce this issue.

Since I posted this, I have discovered that I am having the same issue with AS 16 with the Milviz 407 copter too. I do not have any problem at all with the milviz 530F. I also have a Cera Sim 365 which does not have this issue. Only the Huey and 407.
