Instrument Lights
I can't seem to get the instrument and map lights to come on.
I have settings set to pilot controls lights.
Anyone else having this problem?

Re: Instrument Lights
Did you follow exactly the things to check before you got on the forums? Read the manual?

Yes to your questions.....that's why I posted this issue.
Haven't been able to solve it myself.

Re: Instrument Lights
You need to flip the according switches and adjust the strength of the lighting with the rheostats on the right side of the panel.. Did you try that?

Re: Instrument Lights
Thanks for the suggestions....I tried them....still no lights for the instrument or map lights.
I'm really stumped on this one.
Don't have any other problems with the aircraft.

Re: Instrument Lights
Let's go over it step by step:
1 did you disable your av before download and install?
2 Did you disable you av from scanning the sim directory?
3 did you disable uac?
4 did you check the box for run as administrator? (Right click on icon)
5 if you're using P3D, did you at any time use the Estonia migration tool? If so, please checthat there's no fsx.exe running even though the sim isn't?

Re: Instrument Lights
Are you pressing L at all? Ever?
DO ANY of the lights work?

Re: Instrument Lights
Don't press "L" ever.
The landing lights, pulse lights, nav and beacon lights all work.
Cabin lights seem to come on but only illuminate the gps, transponder, wx radar and autopilot.
Nothing happens when I switch on the map light.
Nothing happens when I use the switch to turn on the instrument lights.....moving the rheostat makes no difference.
Also the circuit breaker for the instrument lights is pushed in....isn't popped out.
I do have pilot controls lights set to on in the P3d settings under Realism.

Re: Instrument Lights
Seems like I'm the only one having this issue.
I haven't seen any other reports from other users.
So weird

Re: Instrument Lights
it really sounds like you either downloaded, installed or have had your AV running (or are not running the sim as admin... )
Those are the most typical things...
I would strongly suggest that you try right clicking on the p3d icon... and check to make SURE that you are running as an admin.

I'll double check.
I might just try a fresh install too.

Re: Instrument Lights
Did a fresh install.....still no luck.
Guess I've got some kind of gremlin in my system and I'll have to avoid flying in conditions requiring instrument lighting.
