How to do fresh install

Thank you for your response. I did exactly that with the latest installer 170829. It uninstalls and then installs fine, but when I load the Beaver, P3D V4 shuts down to the desktop and won't load the plane. Other planes are loading fine. Should I run an earlier installer instead? I am not sure what to do.

I have solved it! A suggestion from another simmer was to look at the possibility of a corrupted dll.xml file in P3D V4. I found on the AVSIM forum Elaine Dixon's step by step advice on how to repair a P3D installation. I followed her instructions. My P3D V4 installation got repaired and restored to a clean version. Once I did that the Beaver loaded just fine. I'm posting here for anyone who might encounter the same problem.

Thanks , Poppets tips come in handy , was it XMLtools that missed the mark writing to dll.xml and if so what was the issue , wrong one ?
