FMS and VNAV [Answered]
Good Afternoon,
Just a couple of questions please. P3D V4 for info.
1) How do we change the FMS or MFD so that it is plan mode so you can scroll through your flight plan via the map to view all is okay? (photos would be great).
2) RNAV approached - I activated VNAV before TOD and it follows the VNAV well. In this aircraft for a RNAV approach do you have to set your alt to minimums to allow it to continue past the FAF and down the "glide slope" or should it pick up the FAF altitude set and continue to descend? I did the latter i.e. set FAF at 1600 and it kept that altitude with APP mode activated and it just flew that level without continuing to descend.
3) How do we know we have the latest update and how to update? (been a while since I flew it).
Cheers.

Re: FMS and VNAV
1) That should be in the manual. I'd have to look it up but there is no plan mode like a 737 but you can step through the flight plan like you are wanting. I believe it as simple as pushing the MFD ADV button.
2) I believe that both baros must be in sync or it will not descend. Hitting B should put them all in sync.
3) The latest version can always be found here in the support forum. Also new download links are sent out for service packs etc. So make sure you check your email.
The newest version has a new manual included that answers most questions on FMS and autopilot operations.

Re: FMS and VNAV
Thank you for your help. Are those updates pushed through to ORBX. ORBX isn't requiring to update at this time so hoping they have the most up to date?
Main reason I ask is that your picture doesn't reflect what I am seeing/getting in the MFD.

Unfortunately we don't control how ORBX releases updates but you should be able to find your product key on OrbX central app and can then download and use the latest and greatest from here -or- wait for them to push out the SP on central. In either case you should fully uninstall the old version before installing the new one.
Not sure why you do not see the plan mode on the PFD, strange.

You have to be in the full compass rose mode on the pilot display to get the plan mode on the PFD then the option will be available.
