407 and ASN - Starting issue

Hi,
In brief I have an issue whereas whenever I use ASN for weather and try and use the 407, it doesn't start. It spools up but the engine never develops power. If I start then engine, then load ASN, the power drops.
What could be causing this? Its a good product, but I don't want to only be able to use it with 'clear skies' etc..
I'm using P3D 3.3
Thanks,
James

Weather engines commonly cause this issue. Try using the auto start.

Do you mean ctrl+e or the option in the menu 'ready to fly' ?

I gave up on this heli soon after I bought it recently but will try again by turning the weather off. I have the ready to fly option checked and also run Active Sky 2016. The hell e is started but will not get above iirc 80% or so on the rpm. Everytime I try to pull of the collective you get that ear piercing alarm. I have tried running other defaults and helis and of the 50 or so times trying have flown the heli maybe 5x. If I can find a solution I will post it.

When you start your sim, use a default aircraft with the engine running and select
clear weatherr. Then , load a 407, and follow the normal start procedure, fuel on, switches on, etc. Now hit the start switch to the up position and hold it in that position and while holding it with your mouse, slowly move the throttle until it lines up with 80% on the throttle indicator, Release the start switch when you hear it spooling up and make sure the switch returns to the middle position when released. You should see RPM start to increase in about 20 + seconds. When it moves to the bottom of the green arc, then move your throttle to full. It will start every time. At that point you can start AS 16 or whatever you are using for weather.

Can we expect a fix for this long running issue? I can't believe this is the only addon with a confliction with a weather engine. Otherwise it's an awesome model. Just a shame it's by reaching its full potential.

This is fixed. If you have problems starting refer to the support forum where the procedure has been dealt with at length.
