simple question: how do i get to open other doors than main door? shift-e and # does nothing for me except main door.

Are you parked near a fuel pump? If so, that will block door selections.

Does this happen at all airports? Is there any time when they do work normally? Do other multi-door aircraft work properly?

I cannot think of any reason for them to not work properly except for being at or adjacent to a fuel stand.
