Hi
When flying 732 at cruise alt and I set an airspeed in IAS\Mack window and the press SPD button, is the plane supposed to maintain this speed if the A/T is armed?
Thanks

Is the a tutorial flight that I can use to understand how to use the SP-177?
I have flown the PMDG Boeings many times and no problem with managing the autopilot.

Yes it should. Is it not behaving? It is the same style of AP controls used in the 737-800, just missing VNAV, and the AP CMD/CSS modes are controlled by levers, not buttons.

The autopilot will not maintain the speed entered.
Any suggestions?
I have it installed in p3d 2.5.

I have uninstalled from the installer I received in the email v3.160229.
Then I reinstalled it and still the same problem.
If say I put in a speed of 250 the plane will not stop accelerating until it is at about 300.
At that point I tried turning off the Autothrottle and turn it on and press the speed button the engines go to idle until it decelerates enough the plane is close to stall speed.

It seems LM has broken a few things in P3D v3. We are in contact with them over this.

I see the same thing but with FSX and Win7. Using the latest MV737 version that I installed today.

Can you post the crash report error so I can confirm the same thing is involved?

I just bought this plane and had this same issue in fsx. It's probably something I did but I can't figure out what. Any possible help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This product is being update and the SP-177/FMS will be removed as we can't fix the problems with it as we do not have the code.
My apologies for this.

Any ideas what will replace the 177 in the process? Great plane, nice to see it still getting support. Any ideas on when it will be updated and is this just the 177 and not the 77. Thanks!

The 77 will remain. No replacement for the 177. No timeline

i had the same problem with the autothrottle system on the SP-177 (on FSX and then on P3D).
switching the Flight Director to ON solved the problem for me, now the autothrottle reacts adequately and holds the speed.
sad to hear the SP-177+FMS isnt updated, that was kind of a unique selling point to me.
hope this helps
cheers
