Update to P3D V4 from Flight 1

Hi, Guys,
Since I bought this bird from Flight 1, I went over to the flight 1 site and verified from the product page that the P3D V4 version was available. I mistakenly thought that if I just ran the Flight 1 wrapper I already had and then just selected re-install on the purchase window that it would install the upgraded version. I was wrong; it just re-downloaded and installed the old version.
Question 1) How do I safely uninstall the FSX version? There is no Uninstall option in the installer, as there is in more recent MilViz installers.
Once I realized my mistake, I downloaded the new version for P3DV4 from the product page. Unfortunately, the product key for the original does not work with the new version after I run the wrapper and select re-install.
Question 2) Can you please tell me the proper way to Upgrade? I asked Flight 1 support, but they politely referred me back to you.
