FSX crashes when F-86 selected - Texture sub-file problem

I should be grateful for assistance with the following problem:-
Running FSX in Widows8.1 with an Nvidia GT630 card. No previous problems with a number of high quality payware aircraft.
FSX crashes when the F-86 is selected from the available aircraft list in Free Flight.
A compatability test investigation found the file Milviz F-86\texture\MV_F86_NL.exe "Has stopped working".

Grateful to learn if anyone can throw some light on the cause/solution to the problem

You are running FSX as admin? As in right click on it, select Properties->Compatibility and check "Run this program as administrator"?

Yes. Running as administrator.
Gone through all the compatability tests to no avail.

If you go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application could you please post the details of the error reports for both FSX and the lighting exe?

Is UAC turned off and your FSX directory excluded from your anti virus?

One step forward..............!
Started from scratch after deleting previous downloads and all relevant files in FSX.
New download with UAC, Anti-virus and firewall all "off"
Laoded F-86 and copied the 2 suggested files into the aircraft panel file.
Ran as Administrator.
Aircraft loads and is available in Free Flight (looks mighty impressive!)
However, click Shift+2 to activate Aircraft Configuration Menu and screen and all controls "freeze".
Have to click "Esc" to end flight. Error message "Failed to load image 3".

Repeated all above and ran in Windows7 with exactly the same result.
