Still no gunsight

Post by Stickshaker » Tue Apr 12, 2016 8:00 pm

Despite trying out all the tricks that this forum provided, I still cannot get the gunsight to work. In tried the ‘y’ key, dived close to the ground, even installed the newest NVidia drivers, but nothing helps. Can someone help me? I click on the know left of the wingspan handle and turn it to the right. But no joy. I recently learned on the SOH forum that I am not the only one. The gunsioght of the F-100D works fine.

Try moving the eye-point and turning up the brightness

Move your eye point up for bomb sight and down for the gun sight.

i tried several times but moving the eyepoint does not help. Also, I noticed that when I click the on/off button for the gunsight I get no clicking sound (like with all other buttons) and the knob does not seem to move (depress) , whether I click left or right. When I rotate it I hear 'clicking' sounds. Should anything else be turned on for the gunsight to work? Radar, electrics (the plane flies so I do have electric power)?

Tried assigning a cage key in the AMS and then caging the gunsight?

Clever idea, Jonathan. I tried it, but no luck…

Jonathan, if it helps I could give you access to my computer. I don’t know how it works in Windows 10, but it should be possible. I saw that others seem to have the same issue. And at least one other person cannot get the configuration window (shf 2) to work, just like me. Would it help if you ‘look through my computer’?

Not really. I have replicated it this side but I am trying to figure out the cause still.

Well, it seems to me that the fact that you were able to replicate it is the beginning of good news! I was beginning to doubt my sanity.

Hello Jonathan, any news? I know your plate is full but quite some time has elapsed.

Still not. Things are a bit crazy trying to keep up with everything.
