Please unzip this to your panel.TP folder for your F-86. It resolves some permissions issues that may be the cause of crashes as well as some other minor bugs that slipped under the radar.

Try going into slew mode ("Y") momentarily. See if perhaps the gunsight is just hiding while on the ground.

Check to see if the new files provided were blocked by your Windows. You may need to right click/ check their properties

NOPE, even in the air no gunsight. I checked also the permission of the file. No problem.

BTW, could you add the missing click sound on the landing light switch ?

Cheers.

Can you even click any of the switches in the cockpit like the Engine master?

Yes all switches are clickable. Just the Landing lights one has no "click" sound. It works fine. With the dll fix : radios OK, but no gunsight. With the original dll : radios Out of Order, gunsight OK (on by default)

Cheers

Just a small update, the same link contains some super minor updates that most of you won't notice except maybe a smoother behaviour when reloading the aircraft without exiting the sim. Some changes to the timer systems we use.

I have reinstalled F-86 TP after ensuring firewall and UAC were disabled during down load and installation. I made a folder milviz in the root of FSX and extracted the files that JonathanBleeker recommended to the panel.TP folder in F-86. Those file appear to be all that's in that folder. FSX still closes when any F-86 is selected. Now what?

You sure there is nothing related to FSX in your Windows event viewer->Windows Logs->Application?
