F-86 installation

Post by pmesmer » Sat Jul 15, 2017 3:00 pm

Hi folks. My problem is with the installation of the program. The download of the program was normal. I installed the program to my FSX and my computer said the installation was successful. However, when I opened FSX, the airplane was not there. I double checked the installation path and it was correct. I have made several attempts to install but all had the same results. No airplane. Need some help. Thanks____ Pete Mesmer, California, Md. :D

Please go to your Simobjects/Airplanes folder and check if there is a Milviz F-86 folder there. If there is, go into it and post a screenshot of the contents.

Press the PrintScreen button on your keyboard while viewing the folder. Then open an image editor and press Ctrl V (paste) and save the image and upload here.

I have tried pressing "print screen" while viewing the folder and files. The files will not print. :D

Print screen doesn't actually involve your printer. It copies an image to your PC's clipboard.

After clicking print screen, you must Ctrl V into MS paint or equivalent image program. You might even be able to paste into an email which you could send to me.

If you want an app to simplify this, try Greenshot

I don't know what I did but the airplane finally installed correctly. I opened FSX and the airplane was there. Now I have a different problem. I can't get the engine to start. When I select cntrl + E an automatic start should take place but it's not happening. I must be missing something?????

Hi Osh_____I got your E-mail about getting 3 E-mails from me but no pics. I can't figure what that's all about but no matter. As you can see in the previous reply, I was finally able to install the airplane and when I opened FSX it was there. Now I have a different problem. I can't start the engine.

Ctrl E doesn't work on most of our products. Read the manual for start up information.

Well____ I did what you folks recommended. I uninstalled the airplane and re-installed it only to find I now have t he same problem I had originally. The airplane installed correctly and my computer said the installation was successful. When I open FSX the airplane is not there. The last time this happened, the program seem to fix itself and I was able to install the airplane. The airplane was there. Now I'm back to square one again. This thing is driving me nuts!!!

Once again, the F-86 has fixed itself. Don't know what I did. I just kept installing the program over and over until it finally installed correctly. The airplane is back flying but I still have no instrument panel lights. :) Now I need to know how to open a forum for the F-100.

Send in your F-100 proof of purchase (address in signature) - If you bought from FS Pilotshop the date and order ID will suffice.

For the night lighting...

Make sure that your AntiVirus didn't delete the file (likely given that you're still having so many problems)....

Make sure your AV (see above), isn't scanning the Sim directory .... (what AV are you using?)

Make sure that, if you have P3D on your system, that you didn't install Estonia.

Make sure that, if you installed FSX Steam, that you don't have two installations of FSX running.

Make sure that UAC is disabled. (google is your friend)
