F 86
Hi
Just an observation
Loaded F 86 into P3Dv4 and then into P3Dv3.4 .
I have both OS on same computer but different hard discs
On starting P3Dv3.4 I was told my F86 had multiple entries with the same name.
Seen this before on my machine
Entered the aircraft cfg of the F86 in P3Dv3.4 and added the number 1 to the first line of every F86 model
Sorted
Should I have to do this?
Is it a peculiarity of my sim

Re: F 86
Do you have both the TP F-86 and the non TP F-86?

Ok you lost me....I'm not sure what you are doing.
How many Milviz F-86 folders are in your v3.4 SimObjects\Airplanes folder?

Hi Jonathan
Just one file -Milviz F-86
It may be of interest that an A2A install of Cessna 172 into v4 and v3.4 did not cause problems
Loading Real Air Turbine Duke and Legacy into v4 and v3.4 did cause the same problem as F-86-problem solved the same way as F-86
Is this something to do with the installation pathway? V4 seems to greatly prefer addons to install via P3D Addons folder.

Re: F 86
That doesn't make sense. Our installers are designed to install into the P3D main directory, not a separate Addons folder. If it installs into your v3 directory then something is messed up in your registry.

HiJonathan
I am sure you are right-there is a problem with my sim
I am certainly sticking with items that have bona fide v4 installers
I note that all my Orbyx scenery went in OK-v4 compatible
I had problems however with FS Globall Ultimate which has v4 installers-caused problems with my P3Dv3.4 setup
So it's not a totally clear picture
There seems to be some sort of linkage between my P3DV3.4 and my P3Dv4 setups.
However all is working just now-will I have update problems?-probably!
Thanks for your help
