FSX crashes

Post by marinepride » Sat Dec 03, 2016 3:12 pm

Hello. I hope some could help.
I have done all of the pre-install requirements.
I've tried running in window 7 mode, to no avail. The aircraft appear in the selection menu, but as soon as one of the F 86 is selected FSX stops working.
I'm running Windows 10 on a dedicated flight sim computer.
16 GB RAM.
Video card is a AMD Radeon R9 390 8GB
Hard drive 2TB
NVIDIA GeForceGTX 980 graphics.
Anything else needed?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Can you post the error report please? You will find it at Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application.

Thanks for the response.
I have over 8000 of these errors??
I do appreciate any help as this is becoming tedious.
After many years flight simming I purchased a "gaming PC". It performs very well. However, I can't get this to work.
Suggestions please.
Bob

Clear the log, run the sim, let it crash, and the error will be right at the top of the list.

Are you able to tell me if my NVIDIA GTX 970 is DX11 comparable? I suspect they are not.
Thanks
Bob

Thanks Jonathan. Happy to hear that issue is solved.
I did clear and rerun F86 and there was a new error. It is somewhat lengthy and I was not able to print. Are you looking for anything specific in the error report?
Thanks for your time,
Bob

Please right click on your FSX, select Properties->Compatibility and make sure Run this program as administrator is checked.
