E55 with GTN is not listed in P3DV4.2

After moding the aircraft.cfg file with the model=GTN750_GNS430
panel=GTN750_GNS430, it does not show in the vehicle list in P3DV4.2.
The planes I did not modify are still there.

What's up?

Are you manually modifying the CFG? Why not use the GTN installer tool?

Can you verify you have the Model and Panel GTN750_GNS430 folders?

Yes, I did the manual installation per the MilViz instructions as part of the B55 plane installation. The GTN installer tool does not install into the 3D panel. Yes I have the brand new GTN750-650 complete. The GNS430 in this case is the stock MilViz 430.
I'm new to this forum so please excuse my ignorance but, I must ask, are you an admin here? Or a friendly volunteer. I appreciate your reply but it doesn't answer my inquiry.

Hello , The last installer was redone to eliminate the need to manually revise the aircraft.cfg , one would run the installer with a selected setup and that would be configured and installed .

If you manually do this without the panel folder present it will not be visible in the selection window .

No, I do not have those those folders in my E55 Aircraft folder.

My installer is v2.180315. Is that the latest? If I do a reinstall, do I uninstall first?

My bad. I completely forgot that Chuck took over the B55/E55 project and "simplified" the system to make it easier for the customer. That image was from my last March 2, 2016 build! :oops:

An uninstall using your installer and a reinstall should do the trick. Do not try to manually modify any of the files and it should be golden.

Well thanks for the info. Couple months late for me. I so enjoyed going the thru the manual modify was necessary bullshit, apparently Chuck forget about his job.
Anyway, I'll do it all over again and see how it goes. I'll have to dl the new installer. I thought I had it with this last turkeyshoot.

It's all good now. I reinstalled using the 180315 installer. I did not follow the mistaken instructions to manually mod the files.

I'm trying the GTN750/MV430. Did have to move a cfg file. Looking forward to my first flight in this set up. KHQM-KCVO. Just wondering if the two inst play nice. I'll try it but if you have any info on that combo, please post it.

Only one device brand will work at a time. I reinstalled the F1 GTN750 and GTN650. Works just fine.
