P3Dv4.2 - B55 has no sound in external view

P3Dv4.2 - B55 has no sound in external view

Thank you for updating my trusty B55, I have missed it in v4.

I just installed (and reinstalled to be sure) v180315 of the B55 in P3Dv4.2.
All seems to work fine, except that in external view there is hardly any engine sound. When I give full throttle the sound disappears completely.
In the VC sound works well.

Please advise.

maybe you're flying too fast to hear the sound? ;-)

I cant duplicate the issue myself , the sim sound engine loads engine sounds from the same folder for the interior and exterior so its demonstrably there and loaded , perhaps a slider for engine sound level is lowered .

Hi Chuck,

Thank you for looking into it.
I tried to replicate it and find a logic in it, but I can't.
Lately, most of the time the external sound problem is not there, but now and then it suddenly happens during a flight (when changing views).
If I find a way to replicate it consistently, I will let you know.
