C-130J Super Hercules Status.
Hi All,
Apologies if I have been blind but I would love to know the status of the C-130J Super Hercules.
I havn't seen much recently on it's progress, is it still being worked on? If so any ideas when?!
Just missing the Capt-Sim version since upgrading to P3D 4.
Kind Regards,
Keith.

Thank you N4GIX and doodlebug for your confirmation.
If I'm not mistaken, It seems that this project is under development for already couple of years now and therefore I wonder if there is any rough time line?
When can we expect it to be released to the public (even as alpha)?
Is it planned to support P3D v4? XP11? DCS?
Excuse me for being impatient, I've been simply waiting for a decent super Hercules now for years ...
Thumbs up for the project and hope to hear more updates soon

Both are in code. The ATR is where we try something for X-plane (no promises) so there is extra work which will prolong the development process.
The Herc is HUGELY complex so won't be rolled out for quite some time yet.

That may be, but I'm fairly certain that MilViz C-130J will be a lot better than the version supplied with v4.3.
Reports so far indicate that those who have tried the v4.3 Hercules is not impressed...

It's because the C-130 included is the almost decade old CaptainSim C-130 with some minor enhancements. The model still looks good, but the rest is definitely showing its age and lack of real systems knowledge by the designers.

with all due respect to captain sim. Their C-130 was a great product 10 years ago, but in nowadays standards it is politely said: outdated!
In this regard, I must express my huge disappointment of LM. I would expect from the company that brought the c-130 to life, to take the blueprints out of the draw and give us a descent C-130 model instead of using captain-sim's obsolete add-on .
In my opinion, 2D images of the instrument or cockpit environment, are simply unacceptable anymore and the J-model cockpit is actually an H-model cockpit (in spite of the glass-instruments of the engines)
So MilViz, you guys are our last hope and I really hope this project will see the light of day, rather sooner than later.
kind regards,
BlueThing

Re: C-130J Super Hercules Status.
I love how sensationalism gets such BS out there today.
1) It's not a loop.
2) The guy who took the video knows it and purposely zoomed in close to remove perspective, knowing it would make the demonstration look more dramatic.
Here is same demo from a more normal position (close to show center instead of outside the airfield almost in line with the runway centerline) and not over using zoom to remove perspective.
https://youtu.be/1g5SGF8hL5g
The maneuver is a Chandelle, a normal maneuver required to be demonstrated by every Commercial Pilot during his practical test. It's a ~1.5 - 2G maneuver and puts no exceptional stress on the airframe.
