About click sound and Ils...

Post by Richard Portier » Mon Aug 26, 2019 5:53 pm

Hi,

I've done some flights and landings. The aircraft flies great. With my Hotas Warthog it is a real pleasure. I saw that the glitch affecting the Mach meters of the rear seat has been corrected compared to the previous version. Thank you again for this great product.

-I was able to note some issues (maybe they are not).

1/Maybe it's a matter of personal taste but the volume of the buttons is particularly low, in the old version I found them perfect (a clear and audible "clack"). In particular Fuel Shutoff Switches, Generator Switches, Boost Pump Switches. In fact all buttons with a cover are affected by this.

2/Concerning the Ils for the moment I have only done tests at KJAC. The ILS frequency is 109.10 (I entered it in the nav radio part) and the TACAN 101X.
In TACAN mode the frequency is recognized and works (T/R).

In Locator and ILS mode, the frequency is recognized (Miles are displayed) but there is no movement of the Loc needle and absolutely no glide.
What could be the problem?

Thank you and Regards,
Richard

1: Try turning up the cockpit sound slider in your P3D sound settings
2: There are 2 NAV volume knobs, one on the audio panel left of the HSI, the other on the NAV radio itself below the TACAN radio. The latter (right knob is marker beacon audio, left is nav audio) is the one you must turn on to power the ILS system.

1/I did it but no change, the sound is muffled....very.

2/I had already noted this (forgot to mention it). If it actually activates the ILS (I can see the distance in miles), it doesn't make the Ils work as I explained in my previous message (no glide and the Loc needle remains shifted and fixed).

Which airbase and runway?
P3Dv4.5 airbase (the ILS and TACAN frequencies of P3Dv4.5 are identical to those of Navigraph)
ORBX KJAC
Runway 19
ILS DME: 109.10
TACAN: JAC 115.40>>>101X

I know that this ILS works, I have checked it several times with other aircraft including the Miviz T-38A/C Adv...

EDIT:Solved! Don't ask me how, probably by resetting the computer... I restarted a flight, followed the procedure and it worked. Sorry for the inconvenience.
