T-38ADV RDX paint kit
Not really "an issue" as such, but still...
The paint kit that is available for the T-38 is really awesome, very detailed with LOTS of layers in the .psd-files provided.
I'm getting into some repaints, both for your T-38 and some other non-MilViz aircraft these days. Because of that, I've been fiddling around with such kits a bit lately, and can see some differences.
While the T-38 kit has lots of details in it, the amount of different layers compared to many other kits is a bit overwhelming at times. Lots of layers that are copies of other layers, and lots of layers with names that does not immediately give away its purpose.
Turning on and off visibility on the different layers does give a clue (at times) to what a given layer is, but some layers are still a bit of a mystery, and I can see no appreciable difference.
I do want my repaints, whenever I get them done, to be as good and detailed as possible. When working with these layers, I do get unsure about what layers to enable, and what not to enable, what layers do need to be there, and what doesn't do anything to the end result. As I said, some of it becomes obvious after fiddling about a bit, but there's still a bunch of layers that I have absolutely no clue about.
So, loooong story short..
Is there a document/guideline or any information from the makers of the existing liveries and paint kit to illustrate what layers do what?
