Import flightplan from Simbrief [Supported now]

Post by pm99 » Wed Jul 21, 2021 5:11 pm

Hi,

is it possible to import an external flightplan e.g.from Simbrief?
I’m still new to this beauty, but I searched the manuals and forums and googled it without success. Could someone point me in the right direction, please.

I haven't used simbrief in a while but this uses the same format as the KA350i so if they support that you could copy the files. Otherwise unfortunately the answer is no.

I’m glad to report that Derek from Simbrief put a lot of work into providing a route export format for the MV-21 FMS, which is available now. I tested it for the 180 EVO, but it should run on the KA350i, too.

Just generate your flightplan on Simbrief (using any aircraft for the P180, e.g. B350), as you would normally do.
On the Download FMS page click on the Milviz format and move the downloaded file to following folder.
C:\Prepar3D v5\Milviz\MVKA350i\Routes

To load your flightplan on the CDU click on:
IDX
Next
Route Menu
Pilot Route List
Select your flight plan
Activate and Execute

Cheers
Perry
