Can't engage AP [Resolved - Turn on elec trim]

Hello,

I hope everyone is well. I am running into an issue that has me stumped as I have never experienced it on anything else including the King Air...
Dialed in altitude, NAV is set to FMS, YD on. Can't engage AP no matter what I do. I believe there should be an AP annunciator lighting up, but... no luck. Shoots straight past the altitude assigned, when changing modes between heading and NAV, the FD reacts appropriately, but AP just doesn't come on. What am I doing wrong? Forgive me if I am doing something stupid and it's a silly error. I can't seem to find anything in the manual regarding this.

Happened to me once and I forgot to turn on the electric trim. No trimming -> No autopilot.

Could also be a hardware conflict.

Pretty sure it's not a hardware conflict since I am using an XBox controller and there isn't much that can happen there - nothing is mapped to it that isn't a default P3D mapping.

Hmmm... I didn't know you had to enable it. Will look for it when I fly in a bit. Thanks for a suggestion!

It was the electric trim! It flies BEAUTIFULLY now... SO MANY thanks to you. I really appreciate this. It was a really dumb error on my part, but I am only now getting started with Piaggio aircraft. This is such a great bird. I was contemplating whether or not to buy it because eventually there will be an MSFS version, but I am really happy I got the P3D one - been enjoying a lot of P3D lately.
