Re: No Taxi or Landing Lights
Perhaps you missed my post above where I listed all of the CUSTOM lighting .fx files I created for this aircraft, just as I did for the C310 and Kingair?

This is how the landing/taxi lights were originally designed to appear:

Certainly looks great. Guess I will try a full uninstall / reinstall then drop in the new model - your pictures are drastically different than what I see.
Thx for continued replies.

Re: No Taxi or Landing Lights
I did see it, but what I meant to say is that the lights .fx files for the Piaggio look nothing like the ones on the King Air and 310. The ones on the Piaggio look like default blobs of light where as the King Air 310 and other models have amazing .fx effects almost as if they where modeled into the aircraft itself.
Perfect example is from the amazing MD550, I was reffering the lights on this model, they look fantastic (navs and Beacon)

Something doesn't seem quite right still. Please be patient while we investigate.

Re: No Taxi or Landing Lights
If I may add my two cents.
From my limited unterstanding of fx files I think other devs do add two lights to the aircraft (if I read the SDK and the excution of the fx files of devs correctly):
One light is sourced at the actual landing or taxi light on the aircraft. Issue there is that the landing light on a lot of planes is behind the cockpit. And with the good old FSX way of messing up stuff this external light does illuminate the cockpit. So this light has a super sharp fall off just before the cockpit. It’s purpose is to illuminate the plane just like the real one would with it’s light cone.
But than a second source is added in front of the cockpit that illuminates the ground ahead of the plane. That is the actual taxi or landing light.

Re: No Taxi or Landing Lights
I want to say this is still not fixed in the latest release. I finally decided to try a night flight NO CHANGE.
I have removed any/ all shader enhancements, reinstalled P3Dv5.1wHF, tried with and without EA and HDR. It looks NOTHING LIKE the post by N4GIX on Mar 29.
