Engine noise after startup
I was having an issue with the PC-6 and decided to do a fresh install of the aircraft. I downloaded the latest installer from the support forum and did an install with the new installer after uninstalling the old version. While the original issue I was having is resolved, a new issue has popped up. When starting the engine I will hear the spooling noise but as soon as the engine comes on it goes silent. I still have all the other noises in the aircraft such as flipping switches, trim warning, etc. but the engine noise is gone both in the interior and exterior views.

Re: Engine noise after startup
I have seen this before. I believe it is some glitch with V5, reloading the aircraft or restarting the sim fixes it. One of the testers said something about alt tabbing out/back into the sim and to make sure the setting to play sounds when the sim isn't in focus may also help.

Re: Engine noise after startup
Unfortunately none of the suggested solutions worked. I think I'll try and go back to an older version. I miss the sweet sweet sound of that PT-6A.
EDIT: Two re-installs later it seems to be working again.

Re: Engine noise after startup
Since switching the sound settings to "Sync with Simulator" I have had consistent engine noise. I'll continue flying with it set to this and see if this is the solution.

Haha, no worries. I thought you meant the sound option in sim (default key is Q). Seems to be all sorted now.MUSTERPILOT wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 1:42 amHi my mistake that is what I meant to say I just click on options open it and un tick sound then re tick it and good to go sorry I owe you 1 activation![]()
