Need to reset my PC-6 activations. [Resolved]

Hi - I was trying to install the PC-6 today and i got an error message to the effect that i have reached the max number of activations. Would appreciate some help correcting this situation. Thnx much!!

I'm still getting the same message. For more background info which I probably should have provided the first time around, I have both P3Dv4 & 5 installed (I'm about to delete P3Dv4) once v5 is steady. Seeing that some people have had success installing the PC-6 in P3Dv5 i copied the simboject files over and the PC-6 shows up properly in the vehicle menu. BUt when i click "OK" to start a flight, that's when I get the message that my activations have expired... Do i have to delete the p3dv4 files, or can you deactivate the the P3Dv4 license for me?

You probably need to copy the Milviz folder over also from your V4 main directory. PC6 isn't supported on V5 yet though so not sure if it will work or not...

Hi Steve - that’s what I did - I copied the PC-6 folders over from P3Dv4 to my V5 installation. I have the aircraft in the preview window and I can select it, but when I try to start a flight I get the “excess activation” message.

I've got my PC6 running perfectly in v5. I copied the simobject folders and (now you mention it), the relevant files from folders in v5, ensured xmltools was being loaded, and bang, off she goes . Worth noting I tried this _after_ installing the KA in v5. Not sure if that had any effect?

When I found she was working perfectly I was a happy bunny indeed 🥰

Actually Kevin, it was your post on another thread that led me to try to get it working in V5!! Thank you!!! If I can just get over the activation hump I’ll be good to go.

Kevin besides the Simobject files for the PC-6 what else did you copy from v4 to V5? I just tried to launch the PC-6 in v4 and it worked perfectly. So I’m thinking the issue with the invalid activation is that I’m missing some file that I should have brought over from v4.

In the v4 main folder there should be a file called Milviz this contains your license for the PC-6 move this into the v5 main folder this will stop you getting the problem with invalid license hope this helps

I tried in V5 with updated TG and RL but get DXGI errors, ran out of memory as I only have a 1080. Probably one of the reasons a quick compatibility patch wasn't released among other things. I would be curious to know of any other issues you guys that are using it in V5 run in to.

The PC-6 uses about 5gig of ram compared with other aircraft but apart from that no problems at all BTW I have only got a 1070Ti card but never had a DXGI error
