perpetual engine flameout - SOLVED

Post by kevin_firth » Wed Oct 23, 2019 2:01 pm

Hi, I wonder if you could give me any guidance on what I'm doing wrong please?

I can start the aircraft perfectly (with slightly dodgy FSUIPC calibrated controls - see other thread), but virtually all the time on my rollout I get a bang and the engine stops - I presume a flameout?

As far as I can tell I'm deliberately not overstressing the engine, and I don't seem to be able to identify what might be causing this - could you give me some guidance please?

Thanks K

OK, thanks to the advice in the other thread I now don't seem to be getting the engine conking out all the time :)
I guess this was down to having the prop control lever too far forwards when calibrated through FSUIPC, causing engine damage...because the redlining and flashing engine instruments have stopped occurring. Now just to get those feather and reverse controller settings working...
