Throuble configuring Prop lever PC6

Maybe somebody can sort out my problem.
I am using TQ6 from Virtual fly and its impossible to configure my Prop lever.
Mixture and throttle were no problem they work just fine but the prop lever is a problem can get it working like it should work.
I am using FSUIPC5

Thanks in advance
Eddy

Where are you adjusting the configuration?

I am adjusting in FCUIPC5
I used the same method like i did for the throttle and mixture and they are working super.(like in the pcuipc5 manual)
But the prop lever is a different story it works but only if i use 1cm of lever trow in the feather position of the prop lever .
So for the hole movement i only can use 1cm at the bottom in the feather postion i find this strange .
BTW i am super happy with the plane it flyes great but without a correct lever trow of the prop pitch and very difficult if you only can use 1CM

Hi,

In FSUIPC5, to configure PROP Lever, see the image.

Besides, also ensure that POWER lever is above the REVERSE range (amber stripe) before moving the PROP lever into feather position, otherwise prop rpm response is abrupt - in the real aircraft it will probably mean a rig failure.

Thanks!

Hey i always leave the throttle lever above te reverse range.

I see in the picture you send to FS as a normal axis.

I send direct to FSUIPC Calibration maybe thats the problem will try out as in the picture and send it FS as normal axis.

And let you now if it worked

Try clicking on "Profile Specific" and creating a profile just for the Porter. See if that helps in any way.

Its not working and the strange thing is the mixture and throttle are calibrated in FSUIPC5 and working perfect.

Only the prop pith is given me throuble. And the strange thing is i have to reverce them in calibration.

Sad such a nice plane to fly.

I have also the 310R and on this one the controls are calibrated in FSUIPC5 and working great.

I dont now wat to do now.

I am experiencing exactly the same problem as the OP.
I've made a short video to demo the lack of input conflicts, set up as per the manual, and then through FSUIPC. It's possible I've made a glaring error somewhere, if so please show me where? :)

Still the same problem here :x on all my other Milviz planes the levers are working perfect in FSUIPC and in Xplane 11

But not in this on its a shame such a great plane.

As you can see from my video this method doesn't appear to work for me :( Any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong please?

I gave up and use the 1cm of travel to get the 2000 rpm. Also done with fsuipc5

From were i see this its not correct of the developers ,I have a Quadrant TQ6 and was wondering if it was the same with a saitek quadrant?

And yes now i see its the same trouble

Ok, please check this picture

Green bands are the NORMAL travel for both PROP and THROTTLE, either by using P3D or FSUIPC Config.

Prop Lever WON'T go "full travel UP", as it is rod-limited to max position just above the amber (top green) area, where it delivers 2000 RPM. It is the same as in the real aircraft. It won't go into feather poosition also, must be configured using the xml file for that.

Power Lever (Throttle) can go full travel up, but won't go into Beta/Reverse using P3D events (the method PC6 recognizes) , also must use the XML file for that.

When using FSUIPC, please notice how to properly configure it:

Always use "Send to FSUIPC as normal Axis", NEVER as FSUIPC Calibration or Offset

To enable Feather and/or Beta/Reverse using the XML file, edit PC6_Controllers.xml file, and make:

<Macro Name="P_Enable">1</Macro> for Propeller

and

<Macro Name="T_Enable">1</Macro> for Throttle

Also follow the instructions on how to detect the ID of each controller axis with FSUIPC's help.

Thankyou thats very helpful.
Couple of quick questions...
1. If the prop control is limited, why can I force it to move further when it's calibrated through FSUIPC?
2. Is it normal that the prop lever cannot go all the way to the bottom as well, you can see from my video that when it is sent through axis prop control as you say, my prop control lever doesn't go to the full bottom of feather like it does when it's sent through FSUIPC calibration. If that's normal then fine, if not the same question arises about why the animation of the lever goes further than it is actually supposed to?
Cheers K
