Re: Your activation is invalid or reached its limit, please contact support
Hi Greg - we are looking into this to try to determine if it is an activation error or due to insufficient RAM.
Concurrently we are working on solutions for users with lower spec systems, but this may take a few days at least.

Uninstalling and reinstalling (making sure AV was off) seems to have fixed this issue for me.

Osh,
Please let me know: is it a requirement to install the PC-6 in P3D directory or not?
If so, why does the installer give me the option to choose another (non P3D) folder?

Yes, it is a requirement to install in the default P3D directory.
You can put the Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 directory wherever you want, but the Porter must be installed within it.

Hello,
I have a problem with the Porter Key. I tried Service Pack 1 taken from this link http://milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=211&t=10831 hoping that it would improve something, but the frames return again low (20 FPS). I uninstalled the plane, I launched the installer again, but it tells me that the Key is invalid. If you can, please help me

Hello everybody.
#Me too suffer from "invalid activation". What i did so far:
-reinstalled PC-6
-writed email to support asking for activation reset (thanks btw)
-tried that trick with manually writing activation key instead standard ctrl+c/ctrl+v
After installation i have no problem running PC-6 in P3D but when i restart my system i can't do anything.
In manual its written that:

but there is nothing, not a single window to put my email and key, after i choose aircraft, airport etc. you know normal P3D startup everything is okay but when i press "OK"

this appears and P3D freeze.
Im kindly asking for your help and thanks in advance.

Can you confirm that you are installing into the default P3D SimObjects > Airplanes folder

Rushed from work to check out if problem solved itself because we all know that software can have moods too and maybe Porter is in good mood now but no, still invalid activation
So, my SimObjects look like this:

I found in P3D folder file named MVPC6 that contains username and activation key, i checked and key is written correctly.
Maybe location of this file is wrong? It should be right in P3D main folder?

Our products won't work unless the Simobjects folder is in the Prepar3D folder like so:
{any drive}:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes
This is because our custom coding needs fixed paths to the other programming assets, and if you make a remote directory for your addons, our planes cannot find those assets.

I'm using my Drive G as P3D folder

I can't do that? excluding PC-6 i never had any problem with scenery/aircraft even with your DHC-3 Otter

I am afraid you can't - maybe some of the earlier simpler models will work, but frankly I am surprised the Otter worked at all.

Well, Otter worked flawlessly from the start:

Because i rather jump off the window than reinstall P3D i tried last one time to try running Porter.
What i did:
-uninstalled PC-6 and manually deleted anything that was left
-downloaded PC-6 again
-unziped file with different program (now 7-zip and previously just with windows)
After succesful installation P3D asked me to activate my license again (?) but Porter works! Turned computer off a couple times and Porter still works! (Well FPS sucks even with reduced texture set but aircraft works).

Thank you very much for help.
