Another version of the product is already installed...

Hello,

I just wanted to install the PC6 for p3dv5.3. After I started the installer (MV_PC6_v1.3.4_210820.exe) the following error message came up:

"Another version of the product is already installed....".

This is not true !? I had additionally installed the MSFS version ! - But what has one to do with the other ? Testwise I uninstalled the MSFS version - unfortunately the same confusing error message:

"Another version of the product is already installed....".

What is going on here ? How can I install my pc-6 for p3dv5 ?

It sounds like it is detecting something leftover. Are there any instances of the PC-6 in your add/remove programs in Windows??

You may need to try this MS troubleshooter.

Obviously I uninstalled the MS version too promptly
