Mindstar GNS 530 clickspots

Hello,

I used your installer to install a Mindstar GNS 530/430 combo installer routine. The V/C looks nice and neat with functioning gauges-the displays work and the panels seem aligned. The 2D click spots seem to work and bring up the 2D panel. In the V/C though the GNS 430 clickspots work fine ie. CDI, OBS, MSG, FPL buttons. But on the 530, none of those buttons work. I have to use the 2d Panel. Is this correct?

Does your HSI have the Vertical guidance as well as the lateral guidance for "LPVS apchs's etc" built into it from the mindstar guage?

The GNS 530 clickspots should be working as well , if they are not doing so there is an issue.

Was this with the most recent installer v1.160726 or the preceeding one , there were changes to the package and the Mindstar units were among those modified , I just verified function here with the latest and noted that configuration of units is from the old installer .

In theory if you hide the following panel folders ( not in use with the mindstar arrangement selected )
you will have working clickspots with your current install .

panel.Mindstar430x2
panel.Mindstar430x2_WX
panel.Mindstar530_WX

The MVAMS system is now used to select the nav units , if it ( Mindstar ) was listed in the installer selection options its not the latest version

Thank you. It does not appear I am using the latest installer. I have v1.160505. How do I receive the latest? And how does one know a new one has been released?

And you are correct. Without those folders my clickspot work. Basicallly a reinstall without those file inclusions.

Hello Steve , in your case I would advise leaving the install you have intact , in the new version you will find the mindstar install has fewer configuration options to compensate for the issue you had.

In the case of the Mindstar dll's that drive these units only one of each per aircraft is loaded, the dll is reading through the optional panel.cfg's as being installed.

The owners who bought the C310 from MV would receive an email directly, those who purchased from a vendor would perhaps only get the news later or in a forum

Re Vnav I am unsure not having tested it myself .

Thanks Chuck. It seems I'm ok for now after your previous post.

Looks like the very first sticky is the update......DOH! But an email is nice too. I did purchase from Milviz. Hope I'm still somewhere in their database.
