Instructions for selecting GPS panel options
Am I alone in not being able to locate any instructions for how to select the various GPS/GNS/GTN panel options?
If I simply change the panel= entry in the aircraft.cfg file, I can get popup GTN 650s as an example, but the VC does not show them..

Re: Instructions for selecting GPS panel options
Hi - suggest try selecting via MVAMS. As MilViz release new builds of a/c (i.e. to accommodate Prepar3d v4) they are integrating older models into MVAMS (which will then act as a common update/configuration tool for all their aircraft).
Naturally this approach will change all variants of that aircraft model to same GPS panel option (although you could obviously change this by editing aircraft.cfg file), but then of course if you subsequently used MVAMS, it would change them all to current MVAMS selection. Suspect that may be what is going on in your case?
I have this aircraft and after a couple of minor problems (very quickly resolved by MilViz) it is now working fine in Prepar3d with GTN 750/650 combo. In practice I find the MVAMS approach works very well (can always reload the aircraft while the Sim is running to rapidly switch GPS configs.
Regards
p.s. I'm nothing to do with MilViz - just another user. And it's a good aircraft to fly...

Re: Instructions for selecting GPS panel options
Thanks!
That worked like a charm - wonder why nobody from Milviz could provide that information, even when I asked via email..
I guess they figure that everyone knows about MVAMS, and where to find it.. even though it is not mentioned in the user documentation.
While I am on my rant... in spite of several previous requests, the 3d surround on the GTN650 is still the inverse of the real unit. Would seem like a simple thing to change - once you know it is incorrect

Sorry Bert - I was in the process of sending you a screencap of the MVAMS....
