After finding out these unfortunately "hidden" new installers with support for P3D v5 (thanks to Colin who mentioned it in a post at FSElite) I tried beside others also the PA-30 now in P3D v5. After not using it for a long time. As far as I see all has worked in my short test.

With one big and one small exception.

The KAP-140 does not work at all. Whatever button I press on the KAP-140 I only hear a sound like an opening pneumatic valve. And that's all.

The second thing (much less annoying) is that it seems the fuel pump switches have three positions. While only two are visibly modelled. When I click with the left mouse button on the switch (left or right pump) goes up to ON. When I then click with the right mouse button on it it goes down to OFF. So far so correct. When I click now a second time with the right button it seems to go in a third position. The switch itself does not move further down. I only noticed it because after this I had to click twice with the left mouse button to go back to the upper position.

While I can life with the second problem I really hope for a fix for the first problem. As much as I like to hand-fly planes for longer distances I am appreciate to have an autopilot 😁 I will try it tomorrow again to ensure it is no local, temporary problem. And if I notice more problems I will report them of course. It is great to be able to fly most of my Milviz fleet again.

Update

While the sound problem I had with the PC-6 vanished after rebooting my system I still have the funny noises in the PA-30 when I click on the autopilot.

The only fix that was done on this is to update it so that it could install in V5. I've seen other reports the KAP doesn't work properly in V5, I honestly cannot say if this will ever get fixed or not.

I see the same issue with the KAP, but also the artificial horizon dial does not work, always horizontal. Is this something that might be addressed.

EDIT: I reinstalled, deactivated the KAP and WX, and this fixed the problem with the artificial horizon. Thus, all is good.

The WX will break stuff until if/when it gets fixed.

I have just tried the three files from the referenced thread. From a short test flight it seems to work. I have not tried a full IFR flight with classic radio navigation and/or GPS flight plan. But simple autopilot operations (hold selected heading, climb/descend with selected rate, intercept pre-selected altitude) works so far.

A revised fileset is available to resolve this issue , unzip and replace the model folder .

The dowload has been changed between the 4th and today ???
I was trying to re-download the patch for the KA140, as the internal model gives issue with the left landing light...

Today, the interior model has been deleted from the link. Only the external model is there, not useful as it is same as in the lattest V4 installator) !

Does this mean you are preparing a new internal update ?

Thanks to give more info.

No , there will be no further updates to the P3D stuff. The link may have become broken when the files were archived. I will see if Osh can pull it back out.

Sorry, I should have said "FIX" - see may thread concerning the left landing light.
