Navstax Nav/Com1 & Nav/Com2 are the same [solved]

The Navstax Com2 & Nav2 frequencies are the same as those for the Com1 and Nav1 in the PA-30. Adjusting the frequency on either radio changes the display on both. The same is true on the 2D pop-up. (Its the Com1/Nav1 values that are shown on both units, suggesting that Com2 and Nav2 are incorrectly assigned somewhere). My Navstax stack works fine on the Turbo Otter and C310R - its only the PA-30 that has this issue. The default radios on the PA-30 are OK. My original install was 181112 but the 200302 install does the same thing with Navstax.

This is a limitation of the Navstax product I believe.

The KX165A is COM1/NAV1
The KX165 is COM2/NAV2

What does your panel.cfg use? Post it so we can diagnose what might be wrong.

Bill, my MV_Twinkie panel.cfg is as below. I couldn't see anything which allocates the Com1/Nav1 and Com2/Nav2 radios.

Osh, my Navstax stack works fine with the C310R and the Turbo Otter - its only the Twinkie that has this issue, so I don't believe its a Navstax problem (unless its to do with how it handles the MV_Twinkie parameter in Gauge05).

Solved!

The Navstax configurator was showing the correct c1/n1 and c2/n2 allocations so I discounted this as a factor, but saving the configurator settings anyway seems to have set things right. (Have never had to set configurator values on a "built-in" Navstax before.)

I am delighted to learn you found and fixed the problem. I had completely forgotten about the "Navstax Configurator" tool since it has been several years since I last worked with NavStax. :(
