Floating Nav Lights
I have an issue with the PA-30 that I have only noticed recently. After takeoff the ground glow of the nav lights follows the aircraft in the air as shown in the attached screenshots. The PA-30 is the only aircraft I have this issue with.
I am running P3D V4.4 with ENVSHADE, ENVTEX, Active Sky+ASCA.

Ah, that was a 'hack' I used to provide the ground splashes for FSX and P3Dv1,2,&3. Since you are using P3D v4.4 you no longer need the special .fx files because P3Dv4.4 generates its own ground splash now.
Look in the ..\Effects folder and locate these files:

Delete the .fx files with the GS suffix, then carefully rename the non-GS file and add the GS suffix.
For example:

For example:
- Delete MilVizC310_navgreenGS.fx
- Rename MilVizC310_navgreen.fx to make it MilVizC310_navgreenGS.fx
- Repeat 1 & 2 for each of the other three .fx files.

How would I fix this in FSX Acceleration?

Re: Floating Nav Lights
Do the same thing as above. That has never happened to me in FSX though.

That worked perfectly for me! Thank you very much! I guess my FSX install is one of the special ones
