Magneto testing?
Well done and thank you to Milviz for developing another great product - I really like the period feel of the cockpit (from the era when I was learning to fly) and the superb flight dynamics. However I have noticed one issue when doing magneto tests during the run up when I am intermittently finding mag drops of up to 800-900 rpm rather than the usual 100 or so. This can occur in either engine but as I have said it is intermittent and doesn’t happen during every run up. I am pretty certain I am following the correct start up procedures and if this had happened in the real world I would be taxiing back to the ramp to get it looked at, but, as there is no maintenance module in the simulator, I just carry on and the engines behave perfectly normally through all phases of flight.
Just to be certain that I didn’t have a corrupt installation, I uninstalled and reinstalled the PA-30 and when that didn’t help I tried a fresh download and installation but the excess mag drops continue intermittently. It isn’t a big problem as the aircraft flies beautifully but I just wondered if anyone else had noticed this? I am using it on FSX by the way.

I have the same problem. Actually I was thinking to post it but forgot about it. Here is a video of it:

Re: Magneto testing?
Since it is intermittent, it is quite possible it is simply a case of the sim acting strangely, as the actual "drop" is hard-coded at 100 rpm.

Out of interest are you using the PA-30 in FSX or P3D?ificratis wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 2:22 pmI have the same problem. Actually I was thinking to post it but forgot about it. Here is a video of it:
