Hi!

After installing the Turbo Otter in FSX-Steam it runs well thanks to the Hotfix1.

But I also installed it in my Prepar3D v4. Hotfix1 installed so it runs.
No smething inexplicable:
Power lever, prop lever and condition lever do not respond on keyboard coomands, joystick nor mouse!
When I hover the mouse over one of them a correct tooltip appears and when I click the hand grips but the control does not move!!!

When I resort to CTRL-E for starting (from Cold & Dark) the engine starts although no control moves, no engine instrument works!!
It DOES respond to my joystick then and I can fly although the propellor does not rotate! Speed meter keeps showing zero....

The Hotfix1 only applies to FSX and P3Dv3.

I see……..

Basically, you didn't need to install the hotfix... so you'll have to uninstall and reinstall...

I installed the hotfix because of CTD when in Cold & Dark. Did not try it otherwise.
Will reinstall and test.

However I must say that it looks like it was put on the market to soon!

Did you have a CTD with P3D v4 even before installing FSX Hotfix by mistake?
if so, which version, v4.2? v4.3?
Did you select Wx option in MVAMS?
Any other info that might help?

Hi Tomas,

I have P3D v4.2.21.24048.
CTD before installing FSX Hotfix only when using Default WX in MVAMS.
Without the WX it runs well in P3D, but with autopilot and GS430 ON without avionics master switch on.

I would like to ask you another question: In FSX-steam I CAN choose Default WX and it powers up.
However it dows only show tekst and lines etc. but no clouds or terrain. Any idea?

the wx is for 4.3 only.

If it's not showing anything that's generally because there's nothing to show.

Henk, the WX Radar does not display "clouds" or terrain. It only shows precipitation (rain, snow).

Actually it does show terrain in addition to precip . Terrain echoes are based on surface type and surface normal relative to the radar beam. It won't necessarily show clouds though.

Thanks for the correction Jon. I cannot recall ever seeing any terrain, but then I don't spend a lot of time flying either, and probably never tilted the beam down enough to get a terrain reflection.
