Turbo Otter CTD in P3D 4.5 HF2

It appears the Turbo Otter is not compatible with P3D 4.5 HF2, at least not on my system. Whenever I load the plane, P3D crashes. Here is what I have done so far:
- fresh reinstall of the Turbo Otter
- uninstalled Wx Advantage Radar
- uninstalled NavStax KingNav radio stack
- Tested a number of different airplanes (Default F 35, Milviz Huey, Aerosoft A320, DC-8, Majestic Dash 8, even the old Flight 1 BN-2 Islander). All other airplanes work just fine
- I found the TFDi RealLight Update on https://milviz.com/flight/ and followed the instructions. It didn't help.
In all tests, I use the default P3D flight (F 35 at airbase at the Gulf of Mexico) and either load the plane directly on the welcome screen, or change the airplane after the flight has loaded.
