Prop Surge
Hi Folks, it's me again!
No complaints from me about this beautifully modelled plane, just queries.
When I've taken off and am climbing, I bring the prop back to the top of the green section, but shortly thereafter the prop surges upwards by roughly 1,000rpm. So I have to bring it back to halfway into the green, then it surges back to the top and stays there.
This happens when in cruise if I want to reduce the prop rpm even more for economy. I have to drop the rpm to 1,000rpm below the bottom end of the green, and it surges back up to where I want it to be.
Is this realistic, or a by-product of the engine management?
Thanks.
