Use of GPS
Is there a GPS manual for the Single Turbo Otter? I cannot find the way to enter the airport code after activating the direct-to button.

Re: Use of GPS
I got it to work, but it seems only when airborne? On the ground, every time I try to enter the airport code, each letter shows in duplicate.
I have another problem, with the autopilot, I don't have a NAV button it seems to be replaced by an FD button, which doesn't appear to do anything.
Once again is there a manual for the GPS?

Are you talking about the default GPS?

I think it is the default, it is the GNS530.
Any comments on the lack of NAV button on the autopilot?

NAV button is there. The display will default to ROL until the NAV is captured. Then it will switch to NAV

Hi Raptor
Thx for your responses - I will go get the manual and watch the video.
Re the autopilot, mine in the instrument panel is the same as your picture. But the pop-up version (shift3) shows FD instead of NAV. I was going to send you a screen shot but cannot find the way to do this, but I don't think it is needed, as I say the NAV button shows as FD.

Re: Use of GPS
Nigel,
Apologies. All this time I didn't see you are asking about the P3D version of the 530. Expect some differences in the operation of the 530 to the manual and video I linked above as those are for X-Plane. I could not find a manual for the P3D version of the 530 but you can go to Garmin and look at their manual. The operation should be fairly the same except for sim limitations.
I do see the Autopilot 2D is different than the one in the 3D. I'll report the bug to the developers
