Turbo Otter causes crash of FSX

Hey there,
I just got the new Turbo Otter yesterday, installed it and took it for a short first flight. As far as I can say everything went fine.

Today I wanted to fly the Turbo again, but everytime I start a new flight the game crashes, only with the Turbo Otter, other airplanes work fine!

So I got through your support site, checked everything ordered and did a couple of changes but still it crashes. I installed the visual++ 2008 and 2015 because I didn´t have them.

All Antivirus, Firewall etc. is off, I´m added as administor, I did that "SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-XPACK", graphic card is fine with DX11 but still it crashes.

When first installed I got the already known cannot create XML Tool error but the Otter worked fine. I reinstalled here today after the first chrashes but today I got no Errors while installing?!

When I start a new flight with an other Aircraft and then switch to the Turbo Otter the Panel apears but without Colours and after a couple of second the game crashes too.

Am a bit disappointed here and hope you could please help me?

Hi Florian,

First, did you get the FSX Hotfix1? See the sticky post on this forum.

Second, do not start a new flight from another aircraft loaded. See point (4) in FAQ sticky post.

When aircraft loads and is powered, if you can see proper data in engine gauges then XMLTools is loaded OK so that is not a problem.

Also if you have Milviz Beaver or piston Otter and they fly ok then you have XMLTools already installed.

Tomas thank you very much for the quick reply, the hotfix fixed the problem. Only problem left is the same one that I have with my piston otter that I can‘t adjust a couple of bottuns.

In the piston and in the otter i can put the tailwheel in ground steering but not back to fixed. The button simply freezes. Same thing with the tank selector and the magnetos.

And the Otter wount start. I already checked the post saying to change something in the XML but my file looks the way it should be

Florian,

Use Leftclick/Rightclick to move the tailwheel switch up/down.

Same for magnetos and Fuel Selector in the piston Otter = Leftclick to one side, Rightclick to the other, and MiddleClick (wheel press) to magnetos OFF or Fuel Cutoff.
