I would like to present here the second page of an old article:

For the MilViz F-86, if you were to create a chart showing the thrust vs rpm curve, would they be very similar?

That is kind of a rule of thumb that can not really can cover other jets. Lots of cautions in that article but I'm sure if you googled it you can find better numbers. AFAIK Thrust also varies with air density so altitude plays a factor.

and a whole bunch of other factors as well...

Intake geometry and AoA also affects thrust output.

Quick answer... yes. Our products do all of that and more.

Would the flight manuals for the old jet fighters contain a thrust vs rpm chart?

Hi Chris , product manuals can be downloaded from our store page for the product you are interested in looking at the manuals for. Purchase is not required to download the manual simply scroll to the bottom of a product page and you will find them.

Thank you very much, Steve. I just downloaded the MilViz manual for the F-86.

But in my post, I was talking about the old flight manuals for the old jet fighters. For example, this one for the F-100: T. O. 1F-100C-1.

Would the USAF flight manuals for the old fighters have charts showing the thrust vs RPM curve? Have you ever come across such a chart in the USAF manuals?

Not always. It's rare to find something like that.

Regarding the F-4 Phantom, do you think that at 80% RPM the fighter would be producing about 50% available thrust?
