Hello,

I bought both planes at Flight Sim Store, but unfortunately, neither works. I followed the instructions and I am very careful to have a very clean install on P3D v4 - meaning I do not have bloatware and only install addons that are fully compatible with v4.

I have ORBX, ActiveSky, Traffic Live, GTN750/650 and several Carenado, Alabeo, PMDG planes, and scenery - Flightbeam, FS Dreamteam, etc. - see point above about my install approach.

I only sim on this I7 7500K 1080Ti pc Win 10 just in case.

Launching the Otter and Beaver cause P3D to just close instead of loading. Install went fine without issues though. I tried starting P3D with a default plane, and switching vehicle..same unsuccessful result...P3D just closes.

I'm including the receipt from Flight Sim Store.

Does your system meet the sims requirements?. If you are using Prepar3d you can verify your version by going to the P3D location, right clicking on the sim1.dll and checking Properties->Details: YES
Did you temporarily disable your anti-virus program during the download process?: YES
Before installing did you disable UAC. (User Account Control)?: YES
Did you install, and are you running the sim as an admin?: YES
Before running the sim did you make sure the FSX/P3D directory is off limits to any AV scanning?: YES
Does your system have the required distributables?: YES
Is your video card DX11 compatible?: YES
If applicable, did disable any FSX to P3D migration tools (like Estonia) before running the sim?: YES
Are you using an aircraft other than a Milviz one as your default aircraft?: YES
Have you installed in the root sim directory?: YES
Do you have the appropriate SimConnect libraries installed?: YES

Aircraft: DHC-2 Beaver
Sim platform: P3D v.4
Operating system: Win10
Version: 171229

OP has installed on a dedicated SSD D:/ drive by itself.
(Bushpounders in root P3D directory on D:)

Hello , My apologies for the delay , I had misread the reply .

I would suspect a module at play here and would ask you to run the MVAMS with standard panel no WX selected and then save , then run P3DV4.

Disabling the Weather Radar allows he Beaver and Otter to load; however, the Autopilot does not not work at all. I just purchased and installed the 310R...and the Autopilot does not work either.

Any assistance will help.

What version of P3Dv4 are you running? v4.1 or v4.2?

Are you sure the AP doesn't work - you need to press the AP button for several seconds before it will engage.

Duh... silly me...I was treating it like an on/off button with one click...it now works after holding it down a few seconds s you mentioned...thanks! I tried on the 310R, I will try on the Beaver and Otter and hope everything works.

Still wish to solve your WX shutdown though. Need the exact version of v4 you are using.

Also, I downloaded the new version of the 310R; now even without the WX module, the 310R causes my P3D to close after a few mns in flight with or without GTN 750/650 on.

Any help will be appreciated.

You will need to update to P3D v4.2.

4.0 is rather out of date
