Several Problems after A/C installation
Does your system meet the sims requirements?:
No
Did you temporarily disable your anti-virus program during the download process?:
YES
Before installing did you disable UAC. (User Account Control)?:
YES
Did you install, and are you running the sim as an admin?:
YES
Before running the sim did you make sure the FSX/P3D directory is off limits to any AV scanning?:
YES
Does your system have the required distributables?:
YES
Is your video card DX11 compatible?:
YES
If applicable, did disable any FSX to P3D migration tools (like Estonia) before running the sim?:
YES
Are you using an aircraft other than a Milviz one as your default aircraft?:
YES
Do you have the appropriate SimConnect libraries installed?:
YES
Aircraft: DHC-3 Otter
Sim platform: FSX + Acceleration
Operating system: Win 8.1
Version: 171229
After installation I am facing following problems:
- MVAMS is not available on the desktop, as it should be after installation
- I can not start the engine, neither with Auto Start (Ctrl-E), nor by using the standard procedure according to the manual.
In the State Tab of MVAMS I‘ve selected – Ready to Start- during installation. I also tried using (Ctrl-Shift-F4) for full Fuel Mixture. When I open the A/C I hear a strange hammering noise (like a damaged starter), the prop is rotating, but no engine start!
- By using the Joystick (Thrustmaster), no thrust lever and no rudder deflection is visible on the screen
I found a related post on the forum dealing with modifying the DLL.XML but my file is OK!
Is this due tot he fact that WIN 8.1 is not supported?
It is really a pity to have this beautiful, detailed bird in sight and not being able to operate it!

Re: Several Problems after A/C installation
It should work on Win10 at least and even Win8.1 if you don't have any file permissions clashing. So something else is happening.

Re: Several Problems after A/C installation
Hey there, I found with mine that I had to set my Throttle Quadrant to "Engine 1 Throttle" rather than just "Throttle" and then the throttle lever in the VC moved when I moved my quadrant.
Found I also had to map Prop and Mixture the same as well i.e. Engine 1 Prop/Mixture
