DH3 Otter and Flight1 GTN 750 problem

Let me understand this. I paid 40 dollars for software that you designed and advertised as being integrated wth Flight1 software.You also say you offer free support and asked a simple question you answer me with a sarcastic answer. I did not think it was unreasonable to ask if you actually tried it in your software. I also don’t think overall what I’m asking is unreasonable but it seems to be a bother. Isn’t trouble shooting part of what I paid for? You advertise that support is free. I have not been given one suggestion as what to change, look for or otherwise be done to troubleshoot this problem . I guess I’ll have to go other forums and hope they can help. Regards

RXP GTN works really better than F1's one (I own both). Think about it.

If it doesn't work with ours AND it doesn't work with JF's, then it's fairly obvious that it's not an issue with our setup... unless, JF and us did the same mistake.... (exceedingly unlikely).

As well, given that you're alone in having this issue... not much we can do.

I've read of other's who've experienced this same abnormal behavior with the F1 GTN750/650 units locking up over time, and that's with any aircraft in which they have it installed.

Just thinking here...glad you got one working with CPU 2 but maybe the fact your using the prepar3d drop down menu to access these pop- up menus is causing a conflict. The pop-up GTN and other pop-ups can also be accessed by using short cut keys. Hit shift + a number on the top of your keyboard to open the GTN or other menu related to the aircraft.

Thanks for the idea but if I use the Prepare menu to drop down the GTH it is fine. The problem is once I drop down anything else from the Prepare menu the GTN drop down will be locked when I drop it down. I guess as long as I dont use the drop down for anything other than the GTN I am OK but this should not be

No problem using the shift keys to drop down panel gauges. It's the Prepare drop-down menu that causes it but for some reason the wheeled version works perfect. I build and repair PC's and have been combing over some of the cfg and ini files looking for the clue why the wheeled version works perfect and the others do not. As far as the JustFlight version none of the versions work after I use the Prepare drop down. Damn I'm frustrated!!'

Brian can you answer this for me as you say your Flight1 GTN works in the Milviz and JF Otter? Is there a click spot on the GTN mounted in the cockpit that will allow it to pop up on the screen. On my other planes they all have a click spot allowing this. Thanks.

Also does the “stack” function work on the Milviz or JF Otters

On all my other aircraft I can click on the cockpit mounted GTN and it will pop up as if stack was used. Is there suppos3d to be click spot on the cockpit mounted GTN? Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you have actually read the F1 GTN Setup and Users guide? They give a solution there for mouse failing to function, as well as what cores to run on.

Already tried legacy mode and switching cores first, does not work. My uncle did find something interesting

I did a comparison of the FIGTN files in all the versions.
The only one with a FIGTNSTACK.ini is the base wheel version.

Wheel version has FIGTN.ini and FIGTNSTACK.in The FIGTN.ini has more info then other .ini files.
Amphib version has FIGTN.ini and Panel.cfg
Float and Skis version have both only have same Panel.cfg

Not sure this helps, but I can see why the wheel version would work with the Stack. so the question is, is it possible to copy the wheel files to the other versions?

That might have been overlooked in the installer. By all means copy it over and see if that solves it.
