Throttles not working (sortof)
PROBLEM: Moving hardware throttles does not cause any movement of the F-4J/S throttles. However, when the hardware throttles are moved the engines do respond momentarily than return to idle.
HARDWARE: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttles/cyclic, MFG pedals.
SETUP: P3D controls are turned off. I use FSUIPC and LINDA for all control functions.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED: Everything (seems like it anyway)
1. All possible combinations of control setups, using P3D, FSUIPC and LINDA
2. Reinstalling F-4J/S, both BASIC and ADVANCED
3. Reinstalling P3Dv4.3
4. Stop Drinking
Thanks in advance....

Re: Throttles not working (sortof)
Did you try setting them in the P3D controls menu?

The throttles need to be either set in the P3D controls menu, or sent to FS as a normal axis in FSUIPC.

I've tried both of these recommendations. Also tried using Thrustmaster TARGET. Always with the same results. I know that in all cases the program is seeing some sort of input, since the engines are at least showing some response.

Re: Throttles not working (sortof)
OK... It appears that I've solved the problem, but it makes no sense. However, any port in a storm.
I have always set up the throttles in FSUIPC as send to FS as normal axis, Axis Throttle 1/2 Set. Then calibrate each throttle on page 3 of Joystick Calibration. For grins and giggles, I checked Map to 4 throttles on page 1 Throttle. This caused Throttle 2 axis to be copied from Throttle 1 axis on page 3. Throttles now work fine.
If someone can explain why this worked, I'll buy them lunch at the Del Coronado. Thanks for the help, you can close this ticket.
