F-4S : navigation computer and Target/Base waypoints

Hello,
I am actually not sure if this topic belongs here or to the more general F-4 forum, sorry if I am wrong.
Here are some comments/questions regarding the navigation computer and the INS :
- as far as I understood there is no INS in the F-4S, and the nav computer computes the position from ground speed and heading. But there is a INS alignment speed slider in the MVAM F-4S config page. Does it has any function?
- according to the NAVAIR MD manual (page I-2-133), the navigation computer should store the coordinates for the BASE waypoint in the internal memory when the function switch in the rear cockpit (the switch with the off, target, base, stby and reset positions) is placed in the reset position, and the coordinates to be stored are those indicated by the POSITION control knobs. This is not the case in the MV F-4S (I believe it takes the coordinates selected on the TARGET control knobs instead).
If I am not mistaken, it would be great to have it as in the NAVAIR manual, since it makes sense : at the airbase, before departing, you have to input your position with the POSITION control knobs. Then simply putting the function switch in the RESET position stores the base waypoint for returning to the airbase.
Thanks,
cheers
Vvince
