k350i install problem [Resolved]
Hello
i installed the k350i on my p3d v5.1 and i can't use it because nothing works. (see photos) the dashboard does not seem complete and when I close p3d I have an error message from milviz. I did the installation via orbx central, taking care to deactivate my antivirus. do you have any idea of my problem please???

Re: k350i install problem
It appears you do not have XMLTOOLS installed. Please contact ORBX for the fix.

Re: k350i install problem
Hi MilViz.
For the first time ever (after nearly all DHC2's and -3's I've purchased via your genuine webshop) I púrchased the K350I via OrbX.
WHAT A MISTAKE !
I''m encountering the same problem like Eric with P3Dv5.1 - only I get no error message when exiting P3D.
But my cockpit looks the same.
I've d/l the XMLtools64 installer and did an installation - oops! - it installes directly into the folder for P3Dv4 (!) instead of v5 !
So I changed the folder's names to get XMLtools64.dll into the folder with the P3Dv5 files, renamed the folders back afterwards.
Not a bit better.
Today I found out that OrbX made RealLight and TrueGlass installable via OrbX - finally.
No help.
I've even d/l the installer you linked to another user with problems, using the user key I got from OrbX - the installer put the aircraft files into the folder for P3Dv4 (again!)
I've tried the aircraft with P3Dv4 (which I haven't used since having upgraded to v5), but there - the cockpit works! I get my displays to control the plane! Only the interior (yoke and door upholstery) looks different, somehow more antique, in comparison to the v5 cockpit.
This and comparing the installation files in the v4 folder with those in the v5 folder, finding a number of newer and additional files in the v5 folder, I didn't dare (yet) is to copy the files from the v4 installation to the v5 installation.
Can it be that the XMLtool-Installer isn't v5 compatible (still)?
Can it be that OrbX sells a (still) v5 incompatible aircraft for v5?
Can it be that . . . . what have I done wrong? (Except to decide buying via OrbX....)
In hope of a solution...
Michael.

Re: k350i install problem
Go to the 350i Support Forum (contact Oisin for access) and download the latest version. The plane works in P3DV5

Re: k350i install problem
Hooray!
I was in the KA350I forum and found a link to a recent update (MV_KA350i_v1.2.0_20201109).
Removed my OrbX installation,
Removed the AMS (alas, will have to re-install via an P3Dv4 aircraft)
Downloaded the mentioned file - over 1GB - the largest file so far for this aircraft (my last one was about 600megs)
Installed this file.
....and was asked - for the first time! - for the sim version.
In short:
Everything works - did already my first round with the KA350I - until the hydraulics of the right engine went boom.... ;o)
Thanks for the tip,
clear skies,
Michael.
