F-4 Phantom all types Milvis Advanced Series [Answered]

Post by Claus » Fri Oct 02, 2020 11:42 am

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I use Milvis Advanced Series F-4E/J/S items.
My topic is: I get usually a orange colored afterburner (AB) flame when activated. Sometimes I get a longer and blue-yellow colored AB flame.
I also detected the blue-yellow AB flame switch always to orange by reaching a certain elevation after take.off.
My question is: What is the rationale behind?

Regards,
Claus

The color does change as can be seen in these photos:

I believe that you are correct it is based on altitude.

Hello Slayer,

Thank you for your feedback.
Meanwhile I detected that the blue-yellow AB flame appears due to certain time of day. That means if it is more dark at dusk, dawn or night, I get a blue flame.
If it is day the flame is only orange colored independent of altitude.

Regards, and take care,
Claus
